A FAMILY spoke of their devastation today after a body found on a beach was identified as that of a missing mother-of-two.Elizabeth McVey's body was discovered by a passer-by on the waterfront at North Berwick, East Lothian, yesterday morning.

The 50-year-old was last seen at home in Musselburgh, East Lothian, on March 21 and her disappearance sparked a large police operation.Lothian and Borders Police today confirmed the body was that of Mrs McVey and said there did not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.Her relatives remembered her "fun-loving nature and zest for life".

In a statement released on behalf of the family, they said:"Over the past 10 days we have been living in the hope that Libby would be coming home to us and we are absolutely devastated that we will never see her again.A police officer visited the hotel, but was told the room had been cleaned on several occasions and the family had been to remove personal belonging.However, on Monday, hotel staff called detectives after a foul odour started to register in the room, which led to the discovery of Milbrook’s body.Police said Millbrook's body had been stuffed in the metal box frame, which sits on the floor. The box springs and mattress also set inside the metal frame.

The family and police are now questioning how the body remained undiscovered despite numerous cleanings and other guests using the room.According to reports in the US, police say Moody is only a person of interest, but he is being held in Tennessee on a separate federal gun charge.Mrs Mitchell, a 37-year-old mother-of-three, has not been seen since May 3 when she left her Meares Ave home after an apparent argument with her husband, Chad.Tonight, police covered the suspect area with a tent and it is understood that officers will start digging a soon.The latest search of the home is expected to last up to five days.

SES volunteers this morning erected white boards around the house, which police say is for security and the privacy of the family.Detective Senior Sergeant Steve Foley, from the Major Crime Squad, said police executed a search warrant this morning in a bid to find personal items of Mrs Mitchell, particularly clothing.Searches of a Kwinana quarry where Mr Mitchell had worked around the time of his wife's disappearance have also been conducted.

Police became gravely concerned for Mrs Mitchell's safety when she did not make contact with her children on Mother's Day.Several days after her disappearance, Mrs Mitchell's wedding and engagement rings were reportedly found on the front doorstep of the family's home.Mrs Mitchell is about 165cm tall, with a slim build, brown shoulder-length hairwith light streaks, brown eyes and an olive complexion. She has a tattoo of a tiger on the left hand side of her back.

The fact that it's a 10 year old child, we did everything we possibly can and one small piece of that was to search the area at the end of both Chapel Street and Tolosa Street," he said."It is a very small chance that he's gone into the bush, but if there is that chance then my opinion is put every single resource at it because you can't put a price on a human life."He is about 150 centimetres tall with brown hair and a stocky build.

"We're at the stage in the search where most areas we've allocated have been completed and the search teams are starting to come back in for redeployment," he said."The next stage is always waiting for further information as to whether we concentrate resources in a smaller area or whether we expand the search further."Police say it is possible Jaymie is with relatives or friends and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
