Texas Rangers Radio, Long-time Texas Rangers radio announcer Eric Nadel has been selected as one of ten finalists for the 2011 Ford C. Frick, presented annually for excellence in baseball broadcasting by the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, it was announced today.
Nadel, who is a finalist for the first time, joins Rene Cardenas, Tom Cheek, Dizzy Dean, Jacques Doucet, Bill King, Ned Martin, Tim McCarver, Graham McNamee and Dave Van Horne on the ballot. The winner of the 2011 Frick Award will be announced on December 7 at the Baseball Winter Meeting in Orlando, Florida, and honored during Hall of Fame weekend, 22-25 July 2011, in Cooperstown.
