Red Bull Flugtag will be landing in Philadelphia for the first time over Labor Day Weekend and what better place to round out the summer than in the City of Brotherly Love. Come Sept. 4 at 11 a.m. at the Camden, N.J. Waterfront, Pier 1
1 Cooper Street, the skies above the Delaware River will swarm with homemade flying machines that are sure to reflect the city’s rich history and also pay homage to the region’s sports, food, culture and rivalries. It’s sure to be one for the Philadelphia’s record books.
32 teams from across the northeast look to defy gravity with their human-powered machines at Red Bull Flugtag Philadelphia. After reviewing over 300 applicants, selected flyers like Team Stork Dorks, Crash Test Kids and Wyld Stallyns will entertain the crowd as they launch their crafts with the hopes of soaring across the bay. To-date, judges for the event include Preston and Steve from 93.3 WMMR-FM, Red Bull Athlete and Professional Drift Car Driver Ryan Tureck, Red Bull Athlete and Professional Lacrosse Player Paul Rabil, along with Philly’s own Betsy Ross and Ben Franklin.
