The Miss Universe 2010 preliminary competition was streamed live last night and showed pageant fans a peek at some of the amazing beauty the 2010 pageant has in store.

Part of the fun of the preliminary competition is getting a look at what women will compete and making your early predictions, because who doesn’t love rooting for their favorite? I just love the beautiful gowns they wear, and yeah, these girls are incredibly gorgeous.
The August 19 Miss Universe preliminary featured the 83 contestants, showing them in swimsuit and evening dresses.
Look for the Miss Universe 2010 pageant to air live from the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on August 23 at 9 p.m ET.
I love the collection of celebrity judges who will be at the live telecast this year: illusionist Criss Angel, actor William Baldwin, musician Sheila E, MSNBC Live anchor Tamron Hall, figure skater Evan Lysacek, actor Chazz Palminteri, singer/actress Chynna Phillips, actress Jane Seymour and model Niki Taylor. Quite an interesting bunch, huh?
Donald Trump commented on the Miss Universe pageant, hyping, “When you combine the world’s most beautiful women, bikinis, a rock star, and a panel of top celebrity judges, you have a recipe for success. The Miss Universe pageant is a worldwide phenomenon and you won’t want to miss this show!”
Bret Michaels and Natalie Morales will host the Miss Universe competition.
