Michael Vick Injury
Michael Vick’s injury during a play that was ultimately penalized and had to be re-played, is suspected to be a hairline collarbone fracture. Fanhouse reports that his X-Rays were negative, but an MRI is scheduled for Monday because he continues to experience pain.“He’s got a sore chest is what I can tell you right now,” Eagles coach Andy Reid said, however Adam Schefter of ESPN posted the hairline collarbone fracture suspicion on his Twitter page this afternoon.
Vick was immediately replaced in the game by Kevin Kolb, who is actually the starting quarterback for the Eagles, but had gotten a concussion in the first game of the season. Vick had taken over starting for him and was doing a fantastic job, having earned the NFC offensive player of the month award.
A collarbone fracture — hairline or not — would put the talented Vick on the disabled list for at least two weeks, and maybe three. Hopefully it’s nothing more than a bruise.
