I’ll admit, I am weak. I did some cursory looking into satellite phones, Iridium and such. But they were just blindingly expensive. And I didn’t want to make calls, I just wanted an IP address! Eventually I stumbled upon Inmarsat’s BGAN, which stands for Broadband Global Area Network. Unlike the various satellite phone options, many of which only guaranteed coverage on land, BGAN covers the whole planet, continents and oceans, with the exception of the poles. It was almost too good to be true.

The Middle is an American comedy television series which premiered on ABC on September 30, 2009.The show features Frankie Heck née Spence (Patricia Heaton), a middle-class, Midwestern woman married to Mike Heck (Neil Flynn) who reside in the small fictional town of Orson, Indiana. They are the parents of three children, Axl, Sue, and Brick.Brian Doyle-Murray plays Frankie's boss, Mr. Ehlert, at "Ehlert Motors". Chris Kattan plays Frankie's friend Bob at the car dealership where they work. The show was picked up for a full season of 22 episodes after airing just two episodes. On January 12, 2010, The Middle was renewed for a second season by ABC.

Frankie and her husband Mike, a manager at a quarry, have lived their whole lives in Orson, a fictitious small town[nb 1] in Indiana. Frankie is so far the least successful salesperson at the local car dealership, a job she explains she took only after the dentist office she worked in closed down a "cool name" in the vain hope that he would develop into an equally cool kid.

Slapstick sitcom about a working-class family in the U.S. heartland follows the daily strife of frazzled mom Frankie as she tries to balance the demands of her job at a car dealership with those at home with her husband and their three kids, including youngest son Brick, whose unusual behavior makes him an outcast at school. The main cast is composed of members of the Heck family and select individuals who work with Frankie. The series also includes a number of recurring and guest characters.

Frankie and Mike try to be pre-emptive and explain Brick's eccentricities to his new teacher, but they end up getting accused by her of being over protective. Meanwhile, Frankie, who is tired of trying to wake Axl up every morning, gives him an alarm clock, and Sue shows her support for the cross country team.
