Katy Perry embarrassed her former high school crush, Shane Lopes, by calling him out in the middle of a concert. Katy Perry also dedicated her You're So Gay song to Lopes.

AZ Central states that Katy Perry was recently in her hometown of Santa Barbara filming a special for MTV about her past. On Tuesday, Katy threw a concert at Dos Pueblos High School where she attended freshman year before leaving to get her GED.

All Headline News reports that during the concert, Katy Perry called into the crowd when she saw her former high school crush, Shane Lopes. Katy then belittled him for not wanting to date her when they were in school together. After that, Perry sang her hit song, You're So Gay and dedicated the song to Lopes.

According to SoftPedia, Katy Perry said, "You were the most popular kid in my class! You never wanted to date me, it was always Amanda Wayne. You really chose right, honey. What's up now!? I'm going to dedicate this next one to Shane Lopes."

Shane Lopes didn't seem too bother though because he said that was typical Katy Perry behavior. Lopes said, "That whole story is pretty fabricated. I never got the feeling that she had a crush on me. We've always been friends.I think it was more for entertainment and she was figuring out a way to segue into her next song and kinda embarrass me just for fun.

I didn't expect it, but I wasn't shocked because that's just her personality. She's always been that way - very outspoken, goofy and she's just a funny girl. It's no different than the Katy I knew before."

If Katy Perry called out Shane Lopes just to embarrass him when they didn't have that kind of a past, she owes him some tickets to her next show and some backstage passes. Over the top is cute but it can get annoying really quickly.

Furthermore, Shane Lopes currently teaches high school football so her You're So Gay song was not a good match for Shane. Oh well, it doesn't seem like Lopes was too bothered because he has a fiance whose beauty rivals that of Katy Perry's.
