NFl:Kenny Mckinley Found Dead:Denver Broncos wide receiver Kenny McKinley was found dead in his apartment on Monday, a suicide.Arapahoe County Sheriff Grayson Robinson said the authorities were summoned to an apartment McKinley in Centennial, Colorado, at 3:35 pm local time and found his body in a bedroom on the second floor. He said detectives believe McKinley, 23, was killed in self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Robinson says, the authorities called a friend, McKinley’s who discovered the body after returning from the assignment with the child. The sheriff declined to say when authorities found a suicide note.
“It’s still part of our investigation, and probably nothing that we talk now, he said.
McKinley’s death is the latest in a series of tragedies in the Broncos in recent years. Cornerback Darrent Williams was murdered in a drive-by shooting on New Year’s Eve 2007, but after three months of backup running back Damien Nash collapsed and died after playing charity basketball events in St. Louis.
“Everyone with Broncos stunned and saddened by the loss of Kenny McKinley,” team owner Pat Bowlen said in a statement. “He was part of the family Broncos and will be greatly missed by our organization. My most sincere condolences to the family of Kenny and his friends. ”
Broncos coach said Josh McDaniels to meet with the media today.McKinley was the second year pro who was on the injured reserve list with a trauma team knee.
It has played in eight games as a rookie in 2009, from 7 feet back at 158 yards, before going on the injured reserve with a knee injury on December 29.He recovered and took part in the off-season team training, but again was not injured during the first week of training camp and was placed on IR with a knee injury on August 5.McKinley was a fifth round draft choice out of South Carolina in 2009. He had been leading receiver South Carolina with 207 catches for 2,781 meters. He returned to school earlier this month followed Gamecocks beat Georgia 17-6 and visited with his coach college, Steve Spurrier.

Bills:
