Heather Cox:Heather Cox, American sports commentator, who is a sideline reporter for the WNBA, NBA, college basketball and college football games on ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC Sports. She played college volleyball at the University of the Pacific. Cox also was a reporter for NBC Sports coverage of beach volleyball in 2008 Summer Olympics.
Heather Cox returned to NBC Sports for her second Olympic assignment * [1], as beach volleyball reporter. She made her debut NBC reported as volleyball and beach volleyball in 2004 at the Athens Olympics. Since 2003, Cox served as a reporter for NBC AVP beach volleyball coverage supporters.
Since 1995, Cox worked as a reporter for ABC Sports and ESPN coverage of the NBA for ESPN, NBA for ABC, College Football ABC, College Football ESPN, NCAA basketball for ESPN, NCAA Basketball ABC, WNBA and professional volleyball. Since 1994, she also worked as an analyst on the ESPN coverage of men’s and women’s NCAA Volleyball Championship and the NCAA women’s basketball. Cox has also worked for CBS Sports, reporting on the NCAA Men’s Basketball tournament, road racing and cross, and as an analyst for women’s college basketball coverage. Since 2002, she reported on the NBA playoffs, and also served as an analyst and reporter for 1998 and 2001 Goodwill Games for Turner Sports. It served to illuminate the analyst Oxygen Media Network of the WNBA .* [2] She also worked as a correspondent for the Olympic qualifying volleyball on the oxygen network media.
Cox worked as a columnist for the Pac-10 Conference, to write a weekly column of national volleyball in 2000. From 1999 to 2000 she worked as a reporter on “Running with the Pac magazine show. Cox began his career as a basketball broadcast analyst Fox Sports Net in 1993 and covers college football, professional basketball and volleyball during her stay in Net Fox Sports.
Volleyball veteran Cox graduated from the University of the Pacific with a degree in communications in 1992. Her collegiate athletic career included 4 years (1988 to 1991) at Pacific University (Division I) Women’s volleyball team, serving as captain of the team, which finished in the top five nationally from 1988-91, reached the Final Four Championship and second place in 1990. Cox was a member of the National United States volleyball team from 1987 to 1995 and served in the United States Olympic Festival in 1990. Cox played professional volleyball in the National Association of Volleyball team captain of the Sacramento star.
Cox is the recipient of USA Hockey 2004 E. Douglas Boyden Media Recognition Award.
