Recently BMSB has become a serious pest of fruits, vegetables and crops in the Mid-Atlantic and it is likely that it will become a pest on these products in other parts of the United States.
BMSB becomes a nuisance pest both indoors and when it draws to the outside of the house in the warm days of fall in search of protection, overwintering sites. BMSB sometimes appears in the warmer sunny periods throughout the winter, and again, as it occurs in the spring.
