Better With You:You have seen advertisements. What new fall shows worth watching and what should be avoided at any cost? In this ongoing series, we give you the scoop on some of the most anticipated shows of the season, with today’s focus is the latest addition to the ABC comedy in the environment better for you.
Plot: Maddy (Jennifer Finnegan) and Ben (Josh Cooke) have been dating for nine years. They know each other inside and out, the relationship marked by contentment and affection, seeing their commitment to each other as “a valid choice of life” that they often proclaim loudly and often. younger sister Maddie, Mia (Joanna Garcia), has been dating Casey (Jake Lacy) for seven weeks. A total of C’est La Vie attitude, Mia and Casey are struck with each other and are happy to explore the oh-so-much that they did not know each other yet. But when they announce they are getting married and having children, it is news that throws Maddie for the cycle. Surprisingly, the girl’s parents, Vicki (Debra Jo Rupp) and Joel (Kurt Fuller), can not be more pleased. Married 35 years, they have recently adopted Carpe diem kind of philosophy, as well as Mia, perhaps because they grow old and lost most of their savings when the economy crashed. With 3 very different relations are closely intertwined in the same family, this will be free thinkers against excessive thinkers, or each pair begin to look at things a little differently?
Snap Decision: Simply put, it is better you bring sexy to the traditional four-camera comedy. Seriously. Do not be fooled by the title, which screams “mutual friends clone!” In addition to being one of the most pleasant surprises of our dwindling stack pilot screening so far, this new ABC laughter can actually be funny half-hour comedy after that show about those 20-6, something that may-or-may-not -spent too much time hanging around the cafe. Now do not get us wrong, better you certainly are not friends yet. But thanks to sharp writing FRIENDS alum Shana Goldberg Meehan, uniformly nice (not to mention the simple on-eye), including the cast, Jennifer Finnegan (not far from home), Joanna Garcia (preferred), and Deborah Jo cereals (THAT 70′s Show) as well as the history Relatable crammed genuine laugh, we’ll go ahead and proclaim ….
Elevator Pitch: the traditional four-camera comedy that does not suck.
Verdict: Being better with you more than worthy addition to the ABC comedy environment. This relative newcomer Jake Busey (who plays Joanna Garcia is very significant other) is the new Zach Braff.
