NASA researchers have noted muscle-wasting among astronauts since the 1960's Apollo missions, but the study is the first to analyze the effect on the muscle fibers themselves. Space station astronauts this week completed a seven-hour spacewalk to repair a cooler. "I think better exercise machinery can address this, they just need to actually test it.
