Hilary Duff’s Wedding

Hilary Duff, who starred in the 2004 teen romance A Cinderella Story, celebrated the start of her own happily ever after on August 14, 2010 as she said “I do” to former Edmonton Oilers team member Mike Comrie.

In a ceremony orchestrated by wedding planner to the stars Mindy Weiss, at sunset the former Lizze McGuire star, linking arms with her mother (who wore a Badgley Mischka design for the special day,) strolled down the aisle at the La Quinta estate in Montecito, California, according to Radar online. Approximately 100 friends and family members (including the bride’s sister Haylie Duff, who took on the role of maid of honor) stood in honor of the lady of the hour, admiring her Vera Wang gown and diaphanous veil as she walked by on her way to a flower-bedecked arbor where her groom stood, waiting to slip a wedding band on her finger to accompany the 14-carat, $1 million engagement ring which has adorned Duff’s left hand since February 2010.

People magazine reports that the newlyweds spent their first night together as husband and wife at the San Ysidro Ranch, which served as a honeymoon retreat for John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy and as a wedding venue for such legendary luminaries as Sir Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable and Sylvia Hawkes.
