Here is hope for those who fight the bulge – and the temptation to eat junk food. Scientists have found a way to lower fat foods like ice cream to make unhealthy.
Experts discovered that by using a protein layer on fat, unhealthy foods can be difficult to digest. This helps to curb appetite, Daily Express reported on Thursday.
People will be less hungry between meals as it takes longer for the food consumed.
Experts say the findings could lead to people can eat whatever they want without having to watch their weight.
Institute of Food Research scientists discovered the method to break down fat more slowly during digestion.
By delaying the digestion of fat and fatty acids from food to reach the last part of the small intestine, they stimulate hormones that the body is still full to tell.
“The food industry has tried to make some way food tastes the same, but are less unhealthy to be found. From a clinician’s standpoint, this is something they should come up with years ago.”
“It will make such a difference if we want the food we eat, but for it to eat a healthy version,” David Haslam, clinical director of the National Obesity Forum, was quoted as saying.
He added: “If we can eat fries and a hamburger and not the unhealthy drawbacks, that would be great. But why has it taken so long? It has been said for a generation at least the key to the obesity epidemic the environment changes people the opportunity to practice. ”
Haslam said that the “other side of the coin is food – changing the food and environment we are at the moment so no one feels limited-being told they can not eat certain things. This means that they can eat whatever they want and not unhealthy. It is a big step as it comes from.
