The League FX:“League” second season premiere on Thursday  on FX. The second season will let the creators of Jeff Schaffer and Jackie Marcus Sheffer do so much more because they have 13 episodes and a better budget.
“When Jeff and I first pitched the show, we knew, FX is not going to give us a budget to make the project a year in Vegas, but we knew that we wanted to do it for the second year,” says Jackie, in the season premiere.
The guys take off to Las Vegas for their fantasy draft and the wind going out with a real NFL player Chad Ochocinco. Draft Las Vegas was just one of many bad ideas. ”
“We have what we call the” Great Council of bad ideas, “says Jeff.” All these ideas keep on accumulating and stacking, and there is another dry erase board, which we are trying to turn these ideas into the show. ”
Many of these bad ideas will be implemented in the second season, which got a full 13-episode order (unlike the first season, which was only six episodes).
“You’ll see their world to expand because we have 13 episodes to play with,” Jackie tells us. “We’re going back to the reunion as well, so you’ll have the opportunity to meet with friends, these guys.”
