I had to supplement breastfeeding with infant formula, and the recently used powdered infant formula, Similac formula, which could be among those recalled, but I have not yet been clarified. Although the company offers a phone number (800-986-8850) and web link to find the batch number of the product, the line was busy, and the site does not work (I get a suitable error message “waiting for Similac” and then “service unavailable”) . I do not know how long it was so, but I tried for over an hour and suspect many other concerned parents do the same thing – which is why their phone and Web-and-down first. But do you think the company would expect that many people will worry, and they can avoid this problem, perhaps by offering other phone numbers to call.
UPDATE: I was able to get through the Internet with one container of one hour and 15 minutes (and, fortunately, was not recalled),. Still trying to get information about the second package so I suspect that it will be hit or miss the people at a time so keep trying.
