Kansas City Chief showed some spectacular performance as they defeated four times defending AFC champion San Diego chargers by a straight 21-14 points. The match was played at the Kansas City stadium and the 71,000 strong crowd cheered as their home team marched towards victory.
The Chief got the major advantage of playing on the home ground and some of their players including Javier Arenas played exceptionally well. The first major offensive play was delivered by the running back of the Chief’s, Jamaal Charles, who bolted 56 yards for a game tying touchdown with 37 seconds left in the first quarter. Javier Arenas was another rookie away from scoring on a punt return himself. The rookies really felt their presence tonight.
The performance of the offense was moderate as they covered around 197 yards, but the defense was really fantastic as both the sides was not able to score much goals.
