Gates Death Panels – Bill Gates On Health Care Savings – Bill Gates is a known advocate for what has been described as “death panels.” His stance on the issue has been a source of controversy among conservative commentators, but most actually overlook the fact that Gates is known as a hardcore eugenicist who has claimed that the global population is too high. His Bill Gates fund is known for donating millions of dollars every year toward vaccines.
He made his comments about the “death panels,” which would allow individuals who are suffering from the worst and most painful diseases to end their lives on their own terms, at the Aspen Ideas Festival which is held in Aspen Colorado every year. The comments did not garner all that much attention, until a video clip of his speech appeared on a number of conservative blogging sites on Sunday.
During the question and answer session, Gates implied that the elderly who are undergoing painful forms of treatment
should be able to choose death over life, which would free up money for the treatment of the young. Gates described
the feeling in the country as a “lack of willingness: to consider changing the way that we look at healthcare. He
also alluded to the fact that we spend millions every year to extend a person’s life for three months, when that
money can go toward employing teachers around the country.
“But that’s called a death panel and you’re not supposed to have that discussion.” Gates said during his visit to the Aspen festival.
