What Is The Most Popular Sport In 2010 ?

Sports 2010

The 2010 year beholds some great sports events ; despite being different in popularity, sports websites are eager to cover these activities in terms on news, transfers, results, livescores and many other features that would make these online spots, some of the best sports websites in the world.

If we consider the FIFA World Cup 2010 for instance, we would rapidly realize that the South Africa World Cup is by far, the most important sports tournament to be held in 2010. Millions of live sports streaming viewers, several millions of TV Viewers, hundreds of thousands of World Cup Tickets sold and for sure, Millions of Dollars spent onto marketing, affiliate programs and world cup betting.

On the other hand, football known as soccer in USA and Canada will definitely attract the attention of these 2 giant nations but deep inside, we will become aware of the fact that soccer is not as popular as NHL hockey or NBA basketball. Despite all that, the most popular sports websites in the world, based in USA such as ESPN.com and SI.com, are obliged to create a big area for the world cup 2010 in South Africa for the purpose of gathering the biggest number possible of traffic and by then, attract more marketers and advertisers into their website.

ESPN, Sports Illustrated, CBS, NBC, Sawfer.com, Skysports, BBC sports, Fox Sports are all aware that Soccer will be the main event for almost 2 months; getting above it will give the competitive advantage to other websites, from where, the need to take good care of covering and broadcasting the games so users can watch World Cup live online, or at least get easily into the matchcast and match comments supplied by professional commentators. Since football livescores have become a standard panel in all sports news websites, we wouldn’t tackle it in our analysis, but we would rather stick to discussing the sports live, sports streaming, sports brands and sports authority.

Sports live has expanded and stretched from an average TV broadcasting medium towards the internet live streaming where every football fan can access a channel and watch the World Cup live, NBA live or any other match schedule in real time. The fact of watching football live online, you will benefit from accessing any kind of media, any football stats, football rumors within a click of a button, regardless of the fact that you wouldn’t have to stop working or playing or chatting. Everything you need is exactly in front of you, especially your sports bookmakers and their online bet on world cup panels, with the best betting odds, extra bonuses and super free and gratis rewards.

Sports brands will compete massively to take advantage during the world cup for the brand image would be seen by millions around the world; Nike Football, Adidas football, Umbro, Reebok, Asics and many more would not settle down before creating an extra brand awareness inside the customers’ head during the month of July, when live football reaches its peak throughout the World Cup 2010 in South Africa. Benefit from the football live streaming and enjoy every moment of football live and football betting.

Success-You Can Enjoy It Too!

“My grades are so lousy, how can I compete with those smarter than I?”

“I’m from the Institute of Technical Education (ITE), and you know that it’s the end for me right?”

“I learn things too slowly. I am just too hopeless. Do not ask me about my future. I cannot think of it.”

These were just some of the dismal comments I received during my interactions with people I met on the streets. These were the kind of feedback these so-called low-achievers received from the society.

It’s a cruel reality that most of our societies equate academic achievements with success. However, is it true that obtaining good grades are the only road to success? No, it’s definitely not.

The race between the rabbit and the tortoise

Have you read or heard about the infamous race between the rabbit and the tortoise? Who do you think will won? Rabbit, I guess? Everyone thought the rabbit would win the race, without doubt. However, the tortoise shocked the spectators by winning the race!

How did the tortoise manage to win the rabbit?

Yes, the rabbit was much faster than the tortoise. However, it became complacent on seeing its lead over the tortoise. Hence it took a rest by a tree and fell asleep. On the other hand despite being looked down on by the crowd, the tortoise was not disheartened. It was determined to finish the race no matter how long it took him. With a focused mind, the tortoise persevered all the way, by-passed the complacent rabbit, and reached the finishing line even before the rabbit woke up to realize that it had lost the race to the tortoise.

In life, many of us may not be considered the elite, or the cream of the crop. Our grades may not make it to the mark. Our teachers, our parents, our peers, people in the society may not look favorably on us. However, do you know that we can still outshine those who’re considered the elite (rabbit) just like how the tortoise won the race against the rabbit?

Examples of successful individuals who were under-achievers

If you are doubtful about achieving success because you think you are a under-achiever. Now read the real-life, recent examples below, and get back your confidence.

Sairin Sani is a ITE graduate. He was from the Normal Stream and had little interest in his studies while he was in school. Just like many others, who performed badly at the Cambridge Ordinary Level Examination, he ended in ITE. It was supposedly the end of a promising future for him as many says. However, the hands-on training offered by ITE appealed to him greatly, and from then on, Sairin regained his confidence and gusto for learning. From ITE, Sairin advanced on to polytechnic, then to National Technical University (NTU), where he graduated with first-class honors in Mechanical and Production Engineering. And now, he is pursuing his dream career in aerospace engineering.

Mr. Tan Koon, a ITE graduate of about 17 years, graduated from ITE with a Industrial Technician Certificate in Electronics, and signed up as a regular with the Singapore Police Force thereafter. While serving his five-year bond, he pursued his Diploma in Electronics Engineering on a part-time basis. When his bond ended, he worked for a couple of years to gain more experiences before heading into business, with his business partner, Au Yong Leong Choong who is also a ITE graduate. With his determination, he managed to set up four companies specializing in IT, systems integration and trading within four years. Now, Mr. Tan Koon is a successful businessperson.

There are many more examples of individuals who made a mark for themselves despite being stigmatized by society due to their earlier poor academic achievements.

What are the factors contributing to these individuals’ successes?

These individuals have a goal in mind, they know what they want, they believe in their dreams, and they plan, take action, stay focus, welcome failure as they see failure as feedback towards success, and finally achieve success with determination and perseverance. These apply to many successful people, e.g., Thomas Edison, Bill gates, Richard and Maurice McDonald, just to name a few.

~ If you want to be successful, it’s just this simple: Know what you are doing. Love what you are doing. And believe in what you are doing. ~
Will Rogers

To sum, intelligence is not the main contributing factor towards success. What makes a successful person is what he does. It’s all within his control.

You can be successful too. It’s never too late. Ask yourself what you want. Not just any other want, but a want which you really desire and will feel regrettable if you cannot achieve it. Then ask yourself what is the purpose behind this want. Next plan and take action. The journey to success is never easy. However, you must remember this:

Successful people never say “I give up!”

Successful people never say try. They do.

Successful people think positively and always say “I can do it!”

~The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack in will. ~
Vince Lombardi

There is also this saying, “If there is a will, there is a way.” Do not let others put you down. Do not let the past pull you down. The more others say you cannot do it, prove to them otherwise! Let everyone know you are a gem too! Believe in yourself and your dream, focus and work towards it, and you will achieve success eventually!

~ The first step toward success is taken when you refuse to be a captive of the environment in which you first find yourself. ~

Isabel Oli denies dating cager James Yap Online

PEP Alert reported spotting James Yap and Isabel Oli in a mall and said that Isabel regularly watches the PBA games—the implication being that she watches James's games.

Friends of Isabel immediately called the GMA Artist Center artist for verification, but she was reportedly too surprised by the news to answer.

"Sa 'yo lang ako unang sumagot about this," Isabel began her phone conversation with PEP (Philippine Entertainment Portal), when we personally texted her for clarification.

"My friends and my handler from [GMA] Artist Center texted me, nasa SCOOP BOX daw ito na nag-date daw kami ni James. Sobra naman yun, nakakahiya kay James. It's so embarrassing. Naaawa ako sa kanya na lahat na lang ng makausap niya, ili-link sa kanya."

Isabel says she was actually with her steady non-showbiz date when she saw James at the mall.

"Why kaya parang walang nakakita ng kasama ko that time? Para namang non-existent yung ka-date ko at kami lang ni James ang nakita ng nag-scoop noon. I was with somebody that time. Dahil magkakilala naman kami ni James, nagkumustahan lang kami and that was it.

"Nakakaawa na si James. I think he's been through a lot lately, 'tapos dagdag pa itong issue. He is a friend. We're both Bisaya and I have been dating someone for the past year na, and you know that."

As for Isabel's regular presence in PBA games, she explains that she has a free pass, courtesy of her brother who works for a company that owns a basketball team in the professional league.

"My brother works for Welcoat, that's why we always have free tickets kapag naglalaro sila. And ako naman talagang mahilig and huge fan of basketball, kaya sumasama ako."

James is the star player of another PBA team, B-Meg Derby Ace.

Limera1n Jailbreak for iOS 4.1 Devices

Geohot has made a dramatic return  to iPhone jailbreak scene with a complete new bootrom exploit and tool to pwn all current iOS devices on iOS 4.1 for life! He has been out for months, but his return is surely going to please everyone, specially the 3rd-generation iPhone and iPod touch owners who were left out by SHAtter based GreenPois0n.

limetime

This news has been confirmed by members of Chronic Dev Team on Twitter, to whom Geohot has confirmed about his return with a complete new tool dubbed as Limera1n. Chronic Dev Team of course isn’t too pleased with it, they want Geohot to save this new bootrom exploit for the future next-gen iPad 2 and iPhone 5 devices.

p0sixninja: yes, the news about geohot is true, the day after we release ETA he decides he wants a piece of the #pie

p0sixninja: and yes it is a different bootrom exploit, he wants us to use it in GP, but there’s no way we’ll make our ETA if we do

chronicdevteam: Note greenpois0n will be released as planned. if someone decides to burn a different perfectly good exploit, that is entirely on them.

    chronicdevteam: It is actually him.

chronicdevteam: because his different exploit can be saved for new iphone / ipad / ipod, AND 3G S, you’d just have to wait a little longer

cdevwill: [7:45pm] geohot: eh, i’ll just steal your exploit [7:45pm] geohot: and beat you to the release Sounds like a nice guy.

Geohot seems to have timed it to perfection. 10/11/10 (October 11), the ETA of limera1n is exactly one year after blackra1n was released to public for iOS 3.1.2.

StealthBravo: The significance of 10/11/10 is that its the one year anniversary of blackra1n’s release. 10/11/10 is the targeted release of limera1n

So what do you guys think about this? Should Geohot save his exploit for the next-generation iOS devices? Or should he just go ahead and release Limera1n on 10/11/10, that is right after Chronic Dev Team has released GreenPois0n? Let us know what you think about this in the comments section below.

UPDATE 1: MuscleNerd of iPhone Dev Team now chips in to confirm Geohot’s return, and the all-iOS 4.1 jailbreak tool Limera1n

As dramatic as geohot’s last-minute all-device JB is, still a shame that two bootrom holes will be burned at once.
