On HGTV's "Design Star," a dozen designers have the dream, but only one (per season) can realize it.
That artistic cheese who stands alone is Emily Henderson, who takes home the title on the "Design Star" finale Sunday night (Aug. 22).
In the episode, both Emily and Michael Moeller get their final challenge: Using their perspective to create a new space for their client and tape a show segment to follow the process from beginning to end.
Aiding them are the previously eliminated contestants. Emily chooses Dan, Casey, Stacey, Tom and Alex. Michael has Courtland, Nina, Trent, Tera and Julia to help him out.
The fun part is that each designer gets to pick one teammate to be their "client."
Emily initially selects Dan, but after reevaluating, realizes he's too similar to her taste. She throws him over for buttoned-up, Halston-y Tom, whom she describes as "dangerous" -- not Tom, but her aesthetic risk-taking probably.
Michael really takes a big risk when he selects Nina, whom he describes as "that lioness who eats her cubs." She initially tries to impose her own point of view on him, but he's steadfast and makes his own decisions.
In the end, both make pretty darn good segments. Emily's "Style to Lifestyle" concept is clear, and she's her usual adorable self. There are moments when she gets a little bogged down with explanation without enough illustration. Michael's "Design Revolution" still needs a better title, but his concept is strong, and his whole segment has great energy and humor.

One of our more intriguing estate of the day properties, Dean Gardens has finally found a buyer. The Atlanta Business Chronicle reports that the home's sale makes it the highest purchase price for any residence in the Atlanta area since the sale of the Dobson estate, 'Descante' on Tuxedo Road. Dean Gardens was most recently listed at $13.9 million with Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby's International Realty but had been on and off the market for the last 15 years with prices from $20 million to $40 million. There were even rumors that Michael Jackson had considered buying the estate.
The property in Johns Creek was created by Larry Dean, a software entrepreneur. The property's 58 acres include elaborate gardens, two carriage house apartments, a caretakers cottage, wedding chapel, Asian tea garden, grass tennis courts, amphitheater, conservatory ,lake and an 18 hole golf course. The home's interior is a hodgepodge of tastes and styles. The rotunda was inspired by Florence's Brunelleschi Cathedral. Art Deco and Art Nouveau flourishes abound in the bedrooms. Much of the terrace level is given over to a Moroccan theme and a game room has a 1950s diner look. Some of the home's many theme rooms including the Peacock room, the Egyptian suite and the elaborate French bedroom.

Brendan Frail has died, Frail’s death confirmed by the Westchester Medical Examiner’s Office Sunday. Brendan Frail died around midnight Saturday, falling into the Croton Reservoir. Investigators are initially ruling Frail’s death an accident.
Brendan Frail headed to the area with two friends ages 19 and 20. They arrived shortly before midnight Saturday, parked their cars, and reportedly climbed over a five foot high railing to sit on a bike path bridge that runs across the Reservoir.
Roughly thirty minutes later, Frail and his friends prepared to leave. A a spokesman for the New York City Department of Environmental Protection tells local news Sunday that, upon motioning to leave, Frail fell off the 40-foot tall bridge into the water.
His friends failed to call 911 initially, trying to find Frail himself. Police believe the 911 call may have come in 8 minutes after the event. Frail’s body was found in the river shortly after 9 am today. Frail was a graduate of Yorktown High School.Funeral arrangements have not been announced.

This is the link where the True Blood s03e10 torrent could be found with about 1 or two seeders at a time. The seeders might be few but this is definitely the place where the torrent would result in a sure shot complete 10th episode of the third season of the vampire series.
The site may be a little unknown but the thing is that no famous torrent site has a single torrent of the latest episode of True Blood and that is because people haven’t had the time to compile the recorded version and then upload a torrent this early. Prate Bay and Torrent Reactor doesn’t seem to have a working copy of the episode and that is a real downer for the fans of the show.
For those who don’t know the plot of the overall show; it’s about a bar maid Sookie Stackhouse whose life changes drastically when a handsome vampire named Bill walks in her bar. This happens two years after vampires rise from their coffins on national TV. The events that unfold afterwards contain a lot of drama and controversies between the vampire clans because vampires are not just blood sucking animals; they have a mentality that is a mixture of the animal instincts of humans and the political side of wild creatures.
All in all the series is great entertainment and airs on HBO. The latest episode of the show which is the True Blood s03e10 is also called “I Smell A Rat”.

August 5, 2008 Richmond Township, IL: Larry Dean said he was practicing a circus act at the Hawthorn Corporation farm near Richmond when the tiger suddenly became aggressive and grabbed him with its mouth. “He had numerous scratch marks and bite marks,” said Richmond Township Fire Chief Rick Gallas. “I would say that was a mauling… he was pretty bloody.” Gallas said workers told paramedics they had to beat the tiger with baseball bats to get it to release Dean. Gallas said Dean told paramedics it was the second time a tiger had attacked him at the farm, but Dean declined to comment when asked about that on Thursday and Hawthorn’s owner, John Cuneo says Dean should not have been near the tigers. Hawthorn owns about 50 tigers but only about 30 of the animals are at the farm, Cuneo said. Others are performing at circuses around the world, Cuneo said. In 2003 the U.S. Department of Agriculture accused Hawthorn of failing to care for its elephants properly. But in 2004 he agreed to give away his elephants in exchange for keeping his circus tigers. Cuneo has tried to get rid of his tigers when they won’t perform by asking Big Cat Rescue to take them, but Big Cat Rescue does not enable bad behaviour. Cuneo’s Sarasota neighbors are concerned that he plans to move his tigers to their neighborhood as he has purchased 5 acres of beach front there and asked for permits to install n 8 foot high wall. FL law requires 5 ac and an 8′ fence for people to keep tigers in their back yard.

Lillian Lyle Evelyn (Evans) King, known to most people as Lyle Evans, is responsible for the growth of school library services in Saskatchewan through her initiative, enthusiasm, and efforts to interest school boards, superintendents, principals, teachers, and teacher librarians in the need for better school library service in the province. Following NORMAL SCHOOL, Evans taught from 1930 to 1939 in both elementary and secondary schools. She obtained a BA in 1940 from the UNIVERSITY OF SASKATCHEWAN, a BLS in 1942 from the University of Toronto, and an MLS in 1952 from Columbia University. She worked in the Toronto Public Library and then the Graham-Eckes Private School in Palm Beach, Florida from 1942 to 1945. She returned to Saskatchewan in 1946 to become the first Supervisor of SCHOOL LIBRARIES in the province as well as the first appointed in Canada. She developed at the Normal School a course in the organization, administration, and use of the school library which in time became part of the College of EDUCATION program.
Lyle Evans was instrumental in establishing school library demonstration projects, from the first locally supported project in CUPAR School Unit #28 in 1947 to the more elaborate Saskatchewan School Library Demonstration Project at Columbia School in YORKTON. Her efforts ensured that in 1947–48 the school curriculum included provision for school library services, including personnel, materials, programs, and standards of actual space for a library. She lectured at the College of Education, assisted in the production of radio programs, film, and book displays, and authored numerous articles and pamphlets. In 1962, she was appointed Associate Professor at the College of Education of the University of Saskatchewan, REGINA Campus, where she was responsible for the program in school library service until 1974.
Some of Evans’ other achievements involved being president of the SASKATCHEWAN LIBRARY ASSOCIATION (1950–51); chair of the Canadian Library Association (CLA) Committee on Education for School Librarianship (1952); organizer for the first annual workshop on School Library Services in the province (1953); chair of the CLA Young People’s Section; director of the American Association of School Librarians (1958–60); chair of the organizing committee of the Saskatchewan Association of School Librarians (SSLA), in 1959; council member (1961–63) and later president (1969–70) of the Canadian School Library Association (CSLA); and CSLA’s Margaret B. Command PR prepares to launch ‘Luxury Lollipop’
Yesterday night aired the debut episode of the half-hour documentary ‘The Spindustry’ which follows Command PR, a Miami-based firm, as it makes preparation for the launching of its most anticipated product the ‘Luxury Lollipop’.
The company Command PR was established in 1999 is managed and run by Simon Huck and Jonathan Cheban. The show ‘The Spindustry’ is produced by Kim Kardashian who is a close friend of Huck and Cheban though they not official represent Kardashian. The co-producers of the show also include Bunim/Murray Productions, the creators of ‘Real World’.
The show was aired last night on E! at 9.30 PM ET after the airing of the reality show ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians’. In the first episode the camera showed how Command PR nearly lost one of its clients.
The unexpected occurring of events present Simon and Huck with a dearth of challenges and they have to figure out a way to save their clients event from becoming a disaster and also maintain an amicable relationship with their client.
Jonathan Cheban is reported to have said that the program is based entirely on Kardashian’s proposal and the theme of the show is pretty good for a reality show as the PR industry is presently one of the most booming and alluring industry in the Hollywood. The show will feature day to day activities of the officials of Command PR as they try to manage and organize celebrity events, allure celebrity clients, manage press conferences and strategically advertising the event so as to gain as much coverage of the event as possible.
